Our motivation

We are a group of developers with multi-year experience in developing and launching real-time and high-availability products to thousands of users across the world.

At the beginning of 2020 and with the COVID pandemic affecting our businesses, we wanted to create a product that would help us scale our Customer Support fast. We needed to determine our users' intention inside an email or support chat so that we could automate certain tasks like canceling accounts, unsubscribing from products, and detecting overall unhappiness in the tone of conversations.

After searching the market for solutions, running hundreds of tests, and checking for open-source options, we came to the conclusion that there wasn't really any simple out-of-the-box API that was affordable and simple enough to use for our basic NLP needs.

Our motivation is to make TextKit a simple and affordable tool that helps you unlock the incredible power of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing inside your products to create amazing experiences for your customers.

NLP is hard and computationally intensive and that's why we are keeping our launch on a closed beta initially.
